We’re looking for a motivated Lead Producer who is passionate about creating world class content for a Gen-Z audience. This is a US based role (remote working) working across our digital channels and studio projects across editorial, branded and white label content.

Overview 

The Lead Producer will report into the Head of Studios and will work closely with the Sales and Creative Teams to bring to life and coordinate our varied slate of editorial, branded  and white label content. You will be responsible for producing videos, stills and creative assets from ideation to delivery with a keen eye on budgets, schedules and contracts. 

You will lead the Los Angeles Production function and line manage the local production team. 

You should have a background in Production, ideally with experience in both Agency and line producing. You are able to work independently and make sound decisions based on experience whilst working closely with the Head of Studios. You'll need to be comfortable commissioning content and managing small teams, as well as heading up large projects. 

Role Responsibilities

• Oversee production activity in Los Angeles, ensuring a high quality creative output across social media platforms ranging from UGC to high-end location shoots. 
• Work closely with the Head of Studios to ensure alignment across the business 
• Create project budgets, including allocating agency fees ensuring a balance between revenue & GPM and targets are met. 
• Work with the Creative team to ensure feasibility of project pitches. 
• Responsible for reviewing and marking up SOWs and MSAs for all projects working closely with Legal Counsel. 
• Develop timelines, budgets and project plans for assigned projects.

• Monitor assigned projects from ideation to delivery, ensuring budgets and timelines are adhered to.
• Liaise closely with the Creative teams to ensure assets are delivered on time and to brief
• Liaise with the Talent Managers on Talent calendars and schedule shoots appropriately.
• Become a vital point of contact for clients / agencies and production companies.
• With support from the Head of Studios, be responsible for the contractual and rights elements of each video – ie director agreements, third party rights such as music and locations
• Review and optimise workflows to improve efficiency
• Ensure quality control of all videos, liaising with the Creative teams
• Internal budget management, liaising with the finance department to process invoices, ensure timely payments and flag any financial issues.
• Coordinating all production updates and documents required for clients, Talent and third parties where appropriate.
• Provide suggestions, contacts and introductions to Directors, Photographers, Art Directors, Sound Designers for Creative team, per appropriate project. 

Knowledge and skills

• Minimum of 7 years in commercial or online video & stills production
• Previous experience in a creative environment such as an agency, studio or publisher is essential.
• Ability to oversee productions, interrogate budgets and schedules
• Knowledge of legal agreements and familiarity with contracting. 
• A solutions focussed approach and team player with a collaborative working style.
• Passion for and deep knowledge of youth culture, music, sport, fashion and trends.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills.
• Experience managing high profile clients and talent in multiple states or countries.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects calmly and efficiently.
• Management of budgets, with a range of different scales
• Thrive in fast paced environments and be able to work to strict deadlines.
